Artist Statement:
I am interested in the Photography of Science and the Science of Photography.In essence, I am fascinated by light, how it can be read and how it can be captured.
My most recent ongoing project is First Light, an enquiry into the parallel histories of photography and astronomy since the 19th Century. Within First Light, I am keen to capture ancient light on photosensitive material; light that has been travelling from distant galaxies for millions of years.
