Charlie Campbell's clinical, photographic compositions of worn toys and artifacts of popular culture adopt a child-like playfulness in exploring themes of Christianity, imagination, mortality, and politics.
Biography:
Charlie Campbell is an artist, graphic designer, former Pentecostal, and hillbilly originally from Hazard, Kentucky. He attended Transylvania University for a BA and obtained an MFA Rochester Institute of Technology. He wields both traditional and digital tools to create artworks in a variety of media with reckless abandon for high- or low-brow consideration.
