Artist Statement:
My work is comprised of intense mark-making coupled with experientially collected photographic imagery. I work in a stream of consciousness fashion, deriving the inspiration for my process from surrealist and spiritualist notions of automatism. I see my work as journalistic in a sense, revealing unintended narratives unearthed from my subconscious and simultaneously reflecting the energy of the fleeting moment in time that is captured through the physical act of mark-making.
